Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) is a non-profit institute with a mission to be the preferred research partner to the life sciences industry. The institute focuses on original research and advancement of relevant skills.
DRILS is named after the late Dr. Kallam Anji Reddy, whose vision and impetus led to its creation in 2007. It is governed by a board of directors comprising representatives of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, the Telangana State Government, and the University of Hyderabad, in addition to pre-eminent scientists. The institute functions autonomously, guided by the values of confidentiality, impartiality, transparency, and integrity.
DRILS is composed of a unique mix of talent with scientists from academic and industry backgrounds trained in biology and chemistry. It is governed in a corporate style, with a research culture at its core.
