The Institute follows specific policies mediated and implemented by the following committees

Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC):The IBSC is a regulatory requirement by the Govt. of India overseeing the use and development of recombinant DNA-based processes and products. Accordingly, the DRILS IBSC meets at specified intervals to discuss and seek approval for ongoing and new projects. –IBSC approval 2019

Institutional Animal ethics committee (IAEC): IAEC is a local body, approved by CPCSEA, which has been empowered to permit experiments on small animals through an amendment in Rules for Breeding and Experiments on Animals (Control and Supervision). The DRILS IBSC meets once in six months to monitor and approve animal research protocols. –DRILS IAEC Committee

Institutional complaints committee (ICC): DRILS abides by a strict no-tolerance policy with regard to inappropriate conduct at the workplace. The Internal Complaints committee (ICC) has been set up to safeguard the interest of students, staff and employees and the members can be reached in person, by phone or by email as and when required.- ICC Brochure
